Nebbiolo d'Alba D.O.C. 2018 - GENTA
Red wine obtained from 100% Nebbiolo grapes , grown on the hills of Santa Vittoria d'Alba , in Piedmont, where Daniele Dabbene's company passionately produces this excellence. The vineyards, located at about 315 meters above sea level, grow on marly and sandstone soils, rich in mineral salts, with a good presence of limestone, clay and sand, which give the wine its complexity and the typical elegance of Nebbiolo d'Alba DOC
The harvest is done manually between the end of October and the beginning of November. The traditional fermentation takes place with indigenous yeasts for 10-30 days, followed by a spontaneous malolactic in stainless steel tanks. After fermentation, the wine ages for 20 months in second passage French oak barriques, helping to develop an elegant and deep structure, which makes it a true jewel of Piedmontese production.
The refinement continues with a further 12 months in the bottle at a controlled temperature, before being ready for sale, making this Nebbiolo a red wine with great aging potential.
